Pros
Great work environment if your are dedicated and willing to work and learn. Co-workers can be great and some can be horrible as with any job you're going to find people that you don't get along with. Customers are the same way.
Cons
I never knew what to think of unions until Vons. Let me tell you, "IT WAS HORRIBLE". Unions unfortunately for a company like Vons (not saying they aren't useful in other jobs) keep idiotic people working who deserved to be fired but didn't fall under the specific guidelines for termination that the union requires.
