Pros

-Hella hours -Not much else but Glassdoor is making me enter more words

Cons

-Courtesy Clerks do everything for everyone but are still treated subhuman by supervisors -Management does not care about their employees. If you get sick at work (which makes them legally obligated to send you home), they will tell you to keep it to yourself and keep working. -Sexual harassment (from both customers and employees) is extremely prevalent, especially towards underage courtesy clerks -Supervisors often refuse to give legally mandated breaks This is the worst job I have ever had. If you are planning to apply, don't. If you are waiting for a call back, save yourself while you can. If you, like me, are already an employee, I am so sorry. This job has made me seriously appreciate the ideas of Karl Marx. I'm quitting as soon as I find another place to work.

Pros

Excellent, straightforward, comprehensive training program and learning modules to ramp up quickly. Management was reasonable and attentive. They also make sure people don't stay longer or go without a break after the 5-hour mark; this is a California statute with which I was unfamiliar (I was guilty of working long hours without a lunch break in CT due to

Cons

This likely comes with the territory, but a significant percentage of the target customer demographic are of the needlessly disrespectful, uncivil, infantile, entitled, and rich variety. They contrive conflict and attempt to pin it on the workers, or needlessly change their order after it has been obtained. It is child's play. Company policy says to never call the police unless they are a threat to safety, but they absolutely do disturb the peace and ruin the experience for others. It doesn't help that there is an expensive (not necessarily upscale in terms of class) drinking establishment in the same plaza.
