Pros

Good intentions, great products, fast promotions to those who can hack it.

Cons

No work life balance if your a manager you are told when you can have your vacations, no one to cover my shifts if i'm sick, no one to cover shifts if someone else is sick as a manager I was left to run 80 hours of baker & decorator BY MYSELF. I can't believe that Vons can be so stingy on clerk hours too. I am left to package my own product and be alone in the dept. for half my shift which takes me away from decorating.

Pros

Excellent, straightforward, comprehensive training program and learning modules to ramp up quickly. Management was reasonable and attentive. Cons

This likely comes with the territory, but a significant percentage of the target customer demographic are of the needlessly disrespectful, uncivil, infantile, entitled, and rich variety. They contrive conflict and attempt to pin it on the workers, or needlessly change their order after it has been obtained. It is child's play. Company policy says to never call the police unless they are a threat to safety, but they absolutely do disturb the peace and ruin the experience for others. It doesn't help that there is an expensive (not necessarily upscale in terms of class) drinking establishment in the same plaza.
