Pros
sadly, they have all but disappeared now
Cons
Bret Snyder has almost single handedly destroyed what was once a vibrant and exciting business in his quest for short term profit (at the expense of his employees.) I say "almost" because now the latest round of outsiders he's brought in over the heads of long term employees, are now helping him run a scorched earth policy on what's left. We've been having record profits year over year yet senior management won't even provide a wage increase that matches the cost of living increase. In the latest round of forced layoffs nearly 50% of the affected employees chose to voluntarily leave the company rather than reapply for the jobs they had been doing for years. Doesn't that say something about the type of company this has now become? Fairness - Gone!, Freedom - Gone! Commitment - Certainly not from management Waterline: yet another founding principle removed from the employees. Culture? At best it's purely lip service from the management. Now the latest of Bret & Steve's management edicts is the removal of compensation based on contribution. - but hey! Maybe they'll thank us for our flexibility yet again. How long before the ASOP becomes the target? What was once a vibrant bustling workplace full of fiercely loyal associates has now become a wasteland of apathy with people looking to get out at the earliest opportunity.
