Pros
Genuine and mostly succesfull effort to modernise their infrastructure and internal processes. Mature and competent egineering talent. Excellent benefits. Working hard on diversifying their market beyond hard drives. Good working environment.
Cons
Part of a public company so there is friction on getting projects approved and out the door. Fairly narrow product scope so you're mostly refining features for each new generation. Conservative client base so limited room for radical innovation. Facing a market transition from HD to SSD and trying to enter new markets so there's some uncertainty about business direction. Merger with WD will happen in the indefiinte future.
