Pay slipping below industry average. Very slim, to no pay rises in 2025.

In regards to pay, WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent data using high tech salaries surveys for benchmarking. We review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit based increases. Pros

Lots of support from management. I always felt like I was heard. Plenty of support from my teammates. The CEO is an amazing person.

Cons

Customers only reach out because there are issues with their sites; causing them to be upset most of the time. Tough job if you are not used to remote work.

Pros

Remote. Great people. Decent benefits. Nice work/life balance.

Cons

Subpar pay. Lack of career growth and stability. Upper management and leadership are heavily disconnected from the core product. They want to "AI" their core platform just because everybody else is doing it but they have no clear direction / solution that makes sense. They sign contracts for services that they don't vet fully and cause headaches for tech support. They mask "reorgs" with surprise layoffs.
