Pros

Fun company culture. Committed, accessible and high energy woman CEO. Diversity and inclusion. Talented and dedicated team members.

Cons

Profits are prioritized over growth and employee well-being. Despite record profits, no bonuses were given in 2023. Stock valuation has been declining for years, making stock options unprofitable. Pay is below the market rate. Many incompetent executives. Most roles are moving out of US, significantly limiting growth for US team members. High attrition in the last few years.

We're concerned to hear you felt like we were more focused on profit than the wellbeing of our people, we've made many investments in wellness over the last few years and certainly wouldn't want this to be the experience of anybody working at WP Engine. In regards to pay, WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent vs cost of living. We utilize salary surveys to review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit-based increases. Pros

Lots of support from management. I always felt like I was heard. Plenty of support from my teammates. The CEO is an amazing person.

Cons

Customers only reach out because there are issues with their sites; causing them to be upset most of the time. Tough job if you are not used to remote work.

Pros

Remote. Great people. Decent benefits. Nice work/life balance.

Cons

Subpar pay. Lack of career growth and stability. Upper management and leadership are heavily disconnected from the core product. They want to "AI" their core platform just because everybody else is doing it but they have no clear direction / solution that makes sense. They sign contracts for services that they don't vet fully and cause headaches for tech support. They mask "reorgs" with surprise layoffs.
