Pros

Washington Federal is a great company. They do right by their customers but they also do right by their employees. The culture is shifting under the new CEO and it's refreshing. The phrase he often uses is "Love what you do. Make a difference." In the time I've been there I see that this is not just a phrase. He actively recognizes people for making a positive difference in the company. The people I've met all care about coworkers and team mates. It's an exciting place to be. Washington Federal has also found a fun and exciting vehicle for employee communications. This can be such a challenging problem for many companies but the Director of Marketing has found a weekly line of communication to all employees that you don't want to miss . I have never enjoyed a job as much in my life! From Management, to co-workers to the support for the job I'm doing.

Cons

I haven't found any yet.

All I can say is THANK YOU for making the difference. Our teamates are eager to learn how to better and more effectively serve our clients. We are investing in tools to make each of us more self-aware and able to serve our clients. I am excited to see what our future holds together. I feel lucky to be part of Washington Federal and the great people that make it special. Life is not all roses, we make mistakes. The key is to learn for those and be better each day.

Pros

Primarily remote work. Decent PTO after the 4th year.

Cons

Limited staffing and limiting overtime opportunities until the bitter end of potentially missing deadlines, which you are guilted into working. 2% "raise" every January and ZERO merit raises. Gutted profit sharing and profitability bonuses over time. Most recent bonus, which is tied to net profit after dividends, was given a result when the scale was never published. All previous bonuses had a floor-to-ceiling profit scale that showed the targets months in advance of the end of the bonus period.
