Pros
-Meet interesting people, regular customers will become like family -Tips during peak hours are great -Never bored, great environment for staying active -Coworkers generally know how to have a good time -Good health insurance -Stock options
Cons
-Training is minimal, new employees are generally thrown onto the busy morning shift and expected to "figure it out" -Scheduling is a mess, it's generally easier to switch days with a coworker immediately before the time off instead of asking your manager a month ahead of time -You get paid 2.85 an hour, so if you have no customers, you have no money. -Stores are ludicrously under-managed, they stopped using assistant managers as often, so most stores' 24/7 needs are met by a single, over-worked manager. -You work every single holiday, Christmas is a required day for all employees, as is Thanksgiving, easter, etc. Calling out on a holiday is an automatic termination.
