Pros

As an associate, this job is pretty easy to learn in general and the pay is fair to that. Walmarts pto/ protected pto system is great for full time employees.

Cons

At this location specifically, most management is terrible. I don’t know if they’re just apathetic or incompetent but they never helped me. And they rarely checked in with the team or followed through with the end of day policy for addressing things. They just talked down to me and brushed me off. Walmart in general doesn’t care about you as an individual, they care about you as a cog in their machine. You get no holiday pay although you are forced to work holidays, and are in fact penalized heavily if you don’t.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
