Pros

1. It's a job, if you can't find anything else. 2. You'll meet some great people and most likely work with some great people. 3. Work experience. 4. Bonuses are nice.

Cons

1. Management is ridiculous in their demands and expectations. 2. Dangerous work environment in the back-room. 3. Consistently understaffed. 4. Awful business ethics. 5. Unprofessional conduct by both managers and associates. 6. Many policies are unethical, discriminatory, and unnecessary. 7. Almost no chance of advancement. 8. Violation of labor-laws, including laws which state the mandatory break periods. If you're running late, you are expected to not take your break, or to shorten your supper break. 9. Draconian attendance policy which makes it impossible to get a second job or spend time with family, and if you get sick, you're out. 10. You are not allowed to take your vacation days when you need them. 11. Blatant policy-breaking by managers and associates, the open-door policy is a joke. 12. Sexual harassment and discrimination is allowed to go on in the workplace. 13. No chance of getting over-time.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
