There are a wide range of jobs and many locations. In some jobs you can find gratifying work.
Cons
The culture in some stores and divisions can be toxic, and it's a dice roll on which you're going to get. This can also change when store managers change, and it's effectively ignored by the home office. In fact, even divisions in the Home Office have some pretty brazen behaviors. There is little to no real focus on developing associates professionally in any way except to help Walmart, and even that is fleeting, despite the ads otherwise (like the $1 college tuition, which is to a non-accredited school and only for courses related to your job role). As you move up in the ranks, there are several levels of borderline abusive job roles, where you can expect nearly zero work-life balance. This seems to be true in all divisions.
