In 27 years of web development, this is fundamentally the MOST dysfunctional environment I have been involved with. - Senior Web Developer Walsworth Employee Review

Pros

A few of the developers were very nice. Health benefits were ok.

Cons

lack of equipment (mac mini and power cord for remote work, that's it) Yearbook Side Development team is where I worked - Does not adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Has no discernible software development methodology. Not waterfall. Definitely not agile. More like Wild Wild Midwest - Tickets look like they were written by a fifth grader - Development finished product expected is a moving target - Holds you to standards without providing WHAT those standards are. (No coding standards) - The 1950's management mentality (see advice for Management) - Also, expect to be nano-managed - Senior Development Staff is continually rude and occasionally offensive. - Exceptionally poor communication and collaboration and knowledge sharing. - Unwilling to listen to ANY new ideas. You will NOT have a voice. - Uninterested in work life balance. - Really, isn't this enough! Just keep moving...

Thank you for sharing. While our teams have plenty of standards and processes in place, it’s unfortunate you didn’t experience them. We hold ourselves and our team members to high standards and if you would like to talk to our HR team, please contact them at hr@walsworth.com. We wish you the best. - AS
