Pros

Incredibly smart people work at DSS. It's an exciting product to be a part of. Decent benefits with progressive additions.

Cons

There is a toxic always-on work culture here. No one thinks twice about weekend work, it's just expected and dropped on you without notice. People are often forced to take calls and work while on vacation. And that's IF you can get the time off because every team is understaffed. You're expected to do the work of 2-3 people. Expect slack messages at all hours. I have nightly stress dreams from this always on, drop everything and work mentality. There's also terrible leadership drama that comes from the top and affects employees. Disney Streaming Services and Disney proper have separate leadership, who are often on different pages. The result is two teams working on the same product with completely different goals, putting out completely different campaigns, and even throwing each other under the bus when things go wrong. The icing on the cake is that we all spend 40+ (emphasis on the +) working on Disney+ and were not given complimentary subscriptions to the service we spend the majority of our lives working on. It's disrespectful.

Pros

leadership is super supportive and helpful. Understanding of what's going on in someone's life and willing to work with us.

Cons

Not everyone shares the same enthuseasum for the company and it's mission. They can sour the taste.

Pros

Free passes to the parks and discount in the stores.

Cons

Management is disorganized, and the workplace culture is consistently challenging. Frequent organizational changes are introduced with little communication or clarity about the path forward, creating uncertainty and frustration. While some teams provide a better experience than others, a toxic environment is prevalent across much of the organization. Rather than investing in employee growth, development, and internal advancement, the culture often feels focused on limiting employees' potential instead of empowering them to succeed.
