Walton Signage Response
9yOne of the difficult things in running a business is that you know you aren't going to make everyone happy all the time. Every CEO of every company in America has the duty and responsibility to generate acceptable profits and build shareholder value. If you have a 401k or invest in stocks, that is something you absolutely want the CEO of that company to do. You work hard for your money and you want your money to work hard for you. Finally, without profits you don't have a business in which no one is secure. Thirty-seven years is a heck of track record for providing employment, growth and development for so many.
One of the most difficult jobs of upper management is to terminate employees. It happens for various reasons. At Walton, in 37 years we have never had a layoff for lack of work. We have had layoffs and in each case, they were for performance reasons. We have high standards because that is what our customers demand we deliver to them.
One of the reasons that Walton is an industry leader is because of the investment that is made in training and development. We have chosen Landmark Worldwide as one of our training partners. It provides work in transformation thinking that produces extraordinary actions and thus extraordinary results. The great employees at Walton are committed to their on-going growth and development and we are committed that they have access to the best!
