I’ll be concise here so it doesn’t get removed this time. No work life balance. They use fear to make you work more. You live and die by your utilization. The tax department in the Birmingham office is the most political, drama filled place I have ever worked. You are either in the in-crowd or you aren’t. If you aren’t in the clique, you don’t get work, which means you don’t make utilization hours. Consequently, you get fired. I was talked to behind my back. Ridiculed for how I looked and how I dressed. It was like being back in high school. The day after tax season is the saddest day you’ll ever see. Expect half of your peers to get fired with little to no warning. I completely changed careers because of my terrible experience at this place.
