Pros

I worked for this company for 3 years and the only thing that kept me for so long was the fact that I loved my coworkers. They also provide food a lot, which is always a plus.

Cons

Management definitely displays favoritism; promotions are based solely on popularity and seniority, not work ethic or experience. Inside Sales is extremely underpaid compared to the salary position and not worth the trouble.

It is unfortunate that you feel we are not fair in our selections for promotions. We continue to monitor this process for each position and focus our selection on the best candidate for the position. We have many great associates doing many great things. We absolutely do not select for any position based on popularity, seniority or favoritism. We can substantiate that for each selection. Regarding salary, we have been doing constant reviews of our salary structures and have made several revisions this past year, and on-going, to maintain a competitive place in our like marketplace and industry. We have invested in various tools to assist us with current, credible data. This is an on-going process.

Pros

Wasserstrom has a strong core of long‑tenured associates, which speaks to both the stability of the company and the quality of the work environment. The average associate tenure is over a decade, and with more than 123 years in business, there is a deep sense of history, craftsmanship, and commitment across the organization. Many associates have built long careers here, contributing deep knowledge and a genuine willingness to mentor, collaborate, and support one another. One of the company’s unique strengths is the close connection between the corporate office and the shop floor. Having these teams physically and operationally connected creates strong alignment, real‑time collaboration, and a shared sense of ownership in the work being done. While the company values its traditions, it is also forward‑thinking and continues to invest in innovation, process improvements, and new ways of doing business. Turnover is low, associates take pride in what they build, and it shows in both the quality of the work and the overall culture. Leadership is approachable, teamwork is encouraged, and there is a clear emphasis on safety, consistency, and continuous improvement. Associates are given opportunities to learn, grow, and build lasting careers while contributing to a company that continues to evolve and innovate.

Cons

Because the company has many long‑serving associates and established processes, the environment may feel more structured or traditional for those who prefer constant change.
