Pros

many great pros at N Wasserstrom. N Wasserstrom takes chances on people. I had no college degree and no experience and got put into a sales position. I quickly became comfortable in my job and moved 3 positions in the 2.5 years I was there. They promote people that want to work hard. The company will always have special projects to join. The special projects are voluntary and do not necessarily pertain to your every day job (ie ERP implementation, inventory fixes, onboarding new hires, etc). I do believe that N Wasserstrom wants to have a great culture, and they are on the right path to that. N Wasserstrom has many amazing people that work there. The people there love their job and also love working with each other.

Cons

the pay isn't competitive and they don't have a 401(k) match. The company is trying to be more profit driven and that can be alarming to people that have worked there for a long time (benefits they had before to the benefits they have now). They do have people in management that I think don't belong in management (you get that at any company). N Wasserstrom has constant changes of procedures which can be problematic to the employees.

Pros

Wasserstrom has a strong core of long‑tenured associates, which speaks to both the stability of the company and the quality of the work environment. The average associate tenure is over a decade, and with more than 123 years in business, there is a deep sense of history, craftsmanship, and commitment across the organization. Many associates have built long careers here, contributing deep knowledge and a genuine willingness to mentor, collaborate, and support one another. One of the company’s unique strengths is the close connection between the corporate office and the shop floor. Having these teams physically and operationally connected creates strong alignment, real‑time collaboration, and a shared sense of ownership in the work being done. While the company values its traditions, it is also forward‑thinking and continues to invest in innovation, process improvements, and new ways of doing business. Turnover is low, associates take pride in what they build, and it shows in both the quality of the work and the overall culture. Leadership is approachable, teamwork is encouraged, and there is a clear emphasis on safety, consistency, and continuous improvement. Associates are given opportunities to learn, grow, and build lasting careers while contributing to a company that continues to evolve and innovate.

Cons

Because the company has many long‑serving associates and established processes, the environment may feel more structured or traditional for those who prefer constant change.
