Pros
I have worked in a part time billing position for the LP Gill Landfill for many years. This was a family business, I also worked full time elsewhere. The family business was acquired by Waste Connections in July. I was hesitant to quit my full time job and commit to working full time for a company that I knew nothing about, but that hesitation was unnecessary! The transition has us making many changes, but changes for the better and the Waste Connections management has been very positive and wonderful to work with. Their business philosophy and management style is so refreshing and motivating. Our landfill still feels like a family owned company, we are not just additional numbers in a large corporation. I am happy to call myself a Waste Connections employee!
