The type of people who they hired and for some reason allow to have a job is unbelievable. The site I got hired into, I thought finally my dream job, well hit the brakes. The ABS system is the most careless, clueless and the most toxic environment it gave ever seen. And I have 7 years in construction if that gives you a perspective. The type of people who work there, hate their job, hate trainees, just hate life in general. They promise all this good training. It is a shark eat shark world. During my 4 weeks of on job training, I was told to quit everyday, I was cussed at or made fun of for trying to ask questions to better serve the company. I spent more time learning how to fake a brake test on a train and by pass alot of safety rules, then I actually did learning how to be a conductor. In 2 months I saw 15 people in a small railroad quit. Idc what kind of business that is pathetic. Management doesnt care. My advice run from WATCO. Get a job with up,bnsf,csx or Norfolk southern.
