Pros
Lots of interesting clients and coworkers all focused on furthering science. Flexible work schedule for the field but getting more micromanaged as boomer leadership wets themselves over new metrics afforded by the transition to Salesforce from lotus notes.
Cons
Quality of instruments, parts and subject matter experts has been sliding. SaaS model is annoying for our clients and isn't translating into anything but bonuses for bigwigs who are going to cut rope in the next few years (c suite turns over frequently since they stopped promoting from within). Corpo was all too happy to cut pay over the pandemic but took home big bonus in their stock allocations while sticking it to their intermediate and entry level employees. C suite has a whole host of conflicts of interests we aren't supposed to talk about.
