Pros

Great pay for management Employee stock shares annually awarded based on performance Personally earned two trips to Jamaica for annual store performance Fast-paced environment Gets the bills paid and then some- amazing for single people or those without many obligations outside of a job Several opportunities to move up or change roles for effective & friendly employees.

Cons

Employee moral & work quality can vary drastically between stores and staff members (inconsistent expectations). Some GMs sit in the office all day and demand staff work to compensate for their absence from floor- lead to very poor working conditions for all. Area Managers expectation and approach can be vastly different, potentially micromanagement. No holidays off ever due to request off and call offs with little accountability (from management or corporate policy) Expectation to choose company over family during natural disasters such as hurricane. For management it can become a "golden handcuff" scenario because they shower you with income but take away from your commitment to family.

Pros

As a supervisor you can control the work environment to the best of your ability to make the store a great place to be for customers/coworkers. Pay is at a decent starting level for the position.

Cons

Basic Associates only accrue PTO creating issues with Work/Life balance unless you've made it a long time without needing to take a day. Attendance Point System is unforgiving without readily available PTO. As management differs between stores experiences may vary.
