Pros
-Very casual and laid-back atmosphere -Young workforce--many people just out of college and easy to relate to (for those also out of college) -Benefits are pretty good -Snacks (though not free...paid for with portions of employee checks) -The holiday party was fun
Cons
-Lack of communication between upper management (directors, VPs etc) and regular employees -Lack of experience of regular managers (especially in customer service). They don't have any managerial experience outside of the company. They are around the same age as the vast majority of employees, which oftentimes fosters inappropriate interactions and relationships. -Disillusion that it is a great place to work. When hired, everyone is told (admittedly like many employers) it is a great place to work, with many opportunities of advancement and training. Couldn't be further from the truth. -Lack of challenge and stimulation, especially in customer service. -All customer service representatives have been changed, virtually overnight, into statistics. Service work and helping customers, which is what we were hired to do, is undervalued, while sales has become the focus of every manager and member of upper management. -There is no normal 8-5 or 6-9 shift. Weekends and nights are a must for customer service, despite family and other obligations. -Extreme lack of diversity, especially age.
