Cons

1. If you work in the Duluth, GA office, you are treated with disrespect, dishonesty, and deceit. 2. All of the energy and resources goes into the Louisville, KY. They only promote folks there. People who are qualified in the Duluth office are looked over, as Louisville only wishes to promote from their office exclusively. 3. The Duluth office is rarely allowed to hire. When I put in my notice, they moved my FTE to the Louisville office instead of back-filling in Duluth. 4. You are expected to hardly ever get out of your seat. If you have to go to the bathroom, you must let someone in leadership know. 5. There is no company culture expect for you to know you are treated like "The Help". You are not respected; you are looked down upon. 6. When moving clients to a new software, the company does not provide training. Clients are expected to either watch videos, or "learn it on your own" or "just contact support". Support is inundated with enough calls as it is. When the training department is confronted, they just pretend like nothing is wrong. As a result multiple clients are terminating their contracts with Waystar. 7. There is no incentive to work here. The salary is terrible, the benefits abysmal, and when you try to suggest changes to make things better, you're told "we will take it under advisement" . . . . and your ideas are thrown out the door. I would never recommend any of my contacts/friends to work here . . .ever. You are treated like garbage, you are expected to get the client off the phone as soon as possible, even if the client is not satisfied with the answer being given. You are faulted if you leave your seat to go to the bathroom, etc. . . . my list could go on. Don't. Work. Here.

Thank you for your feedback and the opportunity to share a few important facts. We are so proud that our company continues to get recognized for our products, service and culture. We've just won again Becker's 2019 Best Place to Work award and continue to be award #1 KLAS awards for 10 years running. Our company is continuing to expand, and we are hiring and have promoted team members across all of our locations including Duluth. We value our team members and to ensure they have time to take a break, our standard practice if for team member’s to simply list themselves as unready, so client calls are not routed to them. This has worked very well for years. We continue to be committed to our team members and clients including any new upgrades or changes that may impact them due to our continued technology innovation and expansion. Team members and clients are provided with multiple training options and are invited to attend as many live Webinars and QA sessions as they would like. We’re thrilled to share we haven’t lost any clients because of their platform upgrade. As our company grows our culture continues to evolve and we continuously work to strengthen our Joyful, Optimistic and Fun culture. Waystar Cares is a new initiative we launched that will focus initiatives specific to community, connection and wellness. Additionally, we have a team that continues to review our benefits packages to invest in our team members and their family’s wellbeing. U.S. health care costs continue to rise and we’ve got a number of initiatives in place to help bend that curve. Again, we appreciate your thoughts and thank you for your contributions to the company. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time with thoughts on how we can continue to make Waystar a great place to work. Thanks! Susan

Pros

Great culture & people - the people at Waystar are what makes it such a great place to work. Lots of opportunities to learn & grow - Waystar as an org has very high expectations. This is a good thing, especially when you are early in your career because you will learn a ton, and get a lot of experience working above and beyond the market expectations for your title. It's a great place to start your career, get a ton of great experience, and then leave for a major pay bump. Fun environment - I genuinely enjoyed working at Waystar. It's a fun place to work, great coworkers, fun travel, etc. Recognition - Waystar does a great job of recognizing team members for big contributions. I felt genuinely seen, appreciated, and valued for my work.

Cons

Salary & total comp - the base salaries are very low relative to the market. Even with bonuses, total comp is definitely in the bottom half. It starts to feel like the fast pace and the high expectations aren't really worth it Benefits - for being in the healthcare space, Waystar has very expensive health insurance compared to everywhere else I've worked Lack of opportunity to move up - there is no framework for promotions so growth really comes down to the whims of leadership. Promotions are very few and far between for almost everyone I worked with. Prioritization is scattered - cross-functional leadership is never aligned on priorities, and certain teams and departments seem to genuinely not know what they're doing.
