Pros

-The people: You will get to work with and observe the work of some of the most creative minds in the industry. Some of the work truly is groundbreaking and you will feel inspired to perform your best. -Management: By and large, management really cares about the employees and does a lot to make you feel happy, balanced and glad to be coming to work. This probably varies by office, but in Chicago Rana was the best GM and cared so much about everyone. -Clients: Big names, big brands, potential for big budgets. Clients really trust Weber and give you a lot of room to truly be creative. -Office: Very cool office setup, although around when I left the office was going through a major space crunch. A good problem to have, though. -CSR: Weber cares very much about service and giving back to the community. -First Fridays: Weber loves to have fun, and the First Fridays happy hour tradition was always something to look forward to.

Cons

-Corporate ownership: Being part of IPG can mean lots of red tape and endless policies. It can get a bit bureaucratic. -Review system: Another "perk" of being owned by a corporate parent, reviews are very regimented and there is not a lot of room to move up more quickly than once a year. Same goes for raises. -Overservice: This is a problem all agencies have, but rarely ever was there pushback against a client, no matter how much extra cost we'd have to write off. -Favoritism: When it comes to practice area, consumer tends to be king and gets a lot of attention and leeway, while the smaller practices both get more heavily scrutinized in some areas and ignored in others.
