Pros
*Office environment pre COVID had a family feel *Good investment in qualifications & training (if you ask) *Most people friendly and helpful *Company events paid for (when they took place)
Cons
Where do I start 🤦‍♀️: *HR think they’re God *No transparency on salaries or salary ranges *CEO says he’s always available, but not a peek out of him during furlough or redundancy *Constant changes in structure without notice *Hiring and firing on a whim at all levels *Hiring people because they are friends *Original team from when company first formed are protected (they’re all kept safe from redundancy, reported inappropriate behaviour etc.) *CEO constantly changes his mind on what strategy to follow *Sycophants that treat the CEO and his Team like the Emperor with New clothes *Company wastes money on impractical things (giant white (elephant) Lego room anyone... ) rather than buying fit for purpose desks and chairs *Every year for at least the last two years the company has culled its workforce, this year COVID handed them their third culling opportunity on a plate *Role opportunities advertised and withdrawn regularly due to the number of structure changes New employees beware, it’s all fun and games until something hits the fan. Please believe me, during your tenure something definitely will hit and stick, the company has high churn for a reason.
