Pros

They pay well and have good insurance

Cons

I worked in the Home Mortgaging division for over 10 years. I loved the laid back environment and my co-workers. In 2019 they radically changed our work process citing security issues and brought in a new department manager. We did many things from running reports to physically processing checks. Our processes were radically changed due to "security issues" so they moved us into a locked secure room under the premise that they could all monitor checks and started cross training us to we could preform any task. I had asked for years to be cross trained to other tasks to stay useful but they basically refused and my work slowly dwindled to nothing. I had been put on a verbal warning due to "not meeting requirements". but my weekly meetings with my supervisor basically gave me no feedback other than I sucked. After the two worst years of my life I was terminated. No written no final I was just told told it was because of lack of performance. 10 years of my life down the drain.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
