My experience at Wells Fargo has been one where retail sales employees are harassed and extremely micromanaged. - Registered Personal Banker Wells Fargo Employee Review

Pros

If you are good at taking instruction then it is not hard to get promoted. Bank tellers that are aggressive will get promoted fast. Great benefits package.

Cons

Experienced Relationship Managers need not apply to retail. There is a low ceiling on the level of services a retail banker can provide to clients. Smarts and a high skill level around advising clents are not really valued in the retail branch channel. More of a widget producing environment.

Great benefits. Receive consistent constructive feedback.

Cons

Don’t have any cons really. I have really enjoyed the position and plan on staying

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
