Pros

Formed some good relationships with co-workers. The pay was decent for the work we were doing. The relaxed dress code and flexible schedule were nice.

Cons

The managers didn't seem to have any real management training (not their fault, really), and were saddled with a ratio of 50:1 when dealing with people in their project groups. This meant that projects went largely unsupervised, and only people who sought out guidance received it beyond the very occasional email. The third-party client we were contracted to was generally disorganized and communicated poorly, so our guidelines were unclear. The client would also throw the occasional temper tantrum and pressure the managers to threaten all of us with termination if we didn't improve at something--so we would go from hearing next to nothing from our managers to hearing that we were all on the brink of losing our jobs without any warning. It made things...tense.

Pros

Fully work from home job

Cons

Work-life-balance (the way tasks availability works makes it so that you have to stay home most of the day to get hours) Pay (the pay is not competitive at all) Poor management (little to no communication and frequently overhiring, which adds to the lack of available work) Benefits (benefits are only available if you work a certain amount of hours per year, even if they do not have tasks available frequently) Vacation time (vacation time is awarded similarly to the way benefits work. Therefore your vacations are lessened by when task availability decreases) Lack of clarity (company stages meetings under the guise of transparency, but do not address worker concerns, up to and including concerns over lack of work) Mass layoffs (company does mass layoffs frequently, sending out termination emails to multiple employees at once periodically, which adds to general stress and uncertainty about job stability)
