Pros
West Monroe has a very flexible work environment, the people you work with are great from the director level on down. People are supportive of each other and it creates a family working environment. The project environment is great along with the co-workers. When out of town on the road the teams are supportive of each other. The work environment is casual and relaxed.
Cons
The problem is with the managing director level and senior management. All of the good senior management/managing directors leave or are forced out by the CEO. He carries a different style of management with his direct reports than he does managers and below. To managers and below he treats them with open arms almost preaches to them and sings songs around the campfire. To the director and managing director level on up it is more of "what have you done for me lately" and then he doesn't speak to you if your on his bad list then asks other peers to force you out. The communication is terrible. The CEO preaches on how historically they have taken pay cuts to save jobs and people in the past. But back in December of 2008 he didn't think twice of laying off 23+ people before Christmas. West Monroe puts on a good front with it's talk of values but inside it is a different story. If it wasn't for the economy and job market I would of left, sooner.
