Pros
Internal training opportunities - although request for certifications were denied Collaborative business Fast-paced Growth and advancement - practically required Highly intelligent and hardworking resources
Cons
- Poor management and hiring of incompetent leaders - Operates like a cliquey and stuffy frat house; Politics dominate and determine how you are treated - Lack of diversity - Lack of protection for employees being treated unfairly by management; Experienced a "leader" that was barely present, provided zero direction, took credit for work that did not belong to them, and manipulated / shifted the blame when they lost control of the project - Performance review process is extremely flawed and puts too much control in hands of those separated from direct managers - Career model is convoluted with unclear directives for advancement - Contrary to their supposed role, Career Advisors support the practice as the overseer, rather than actual support, of their assigned employee - Unreasonably overworked consultants at all levels - Overworked management prohibits effective mentoring to new or junior consultants - Not enough delivery focus; A significant amount client work is based on robotic, meaningless methodology fluff - Poorly managed scope and staffing on projects which leads to poor work / life balance; Stressful and exhausting - Extreme / late hours put into work are not considered or even recognized / rewarded by PMs - Required internal tasks and regular 1:1 meetings unrelated to project work are excessive and unnecessary and distract from focus on the client - Low pay in comparison with workload and overall market - Bonus pay is selective and not reflective of effort or success of project Never experienced a working environment that was this poisonous to a psyche. I am relieved I got out.
