This is 100% a sales company, not even a good one at that. All the "financial professionals" here are just salespeople who use bogus acronyms and throw around financial lingo without knowing remotely what any of it means. I doubt anyone here would pass a college level financial analysis or investments course. I doubt they even know the actual science and mechanisms behind the financial products they sell. There's an HR/Staffing/Management department, a giant staff of "Financial Representatives" (aka salespeople), and a bunch of assistants that they indoctrinate into becoming salespeople, that's it, that's the machine they have here.
They give daily "training" sessions for everyone which are essentially brainwashing sessions for all the gullible kids that are hired here. The classes are basically those corporate salespeople brainwashing things you see in movies and TV shows.
To try to impress me, my supervisors would use financial language I knew they didn't actually understand, and when they could tell I wasn't buying their acts, they became frustrated. They try to hire financially illiterate, imbecilic people so that they can coerce them into getting licensed and becoming salespeople. The licenses for health and life insurance is not useable outside of being an insurance salesperson.
Their name is "WestPac Wealth Partners" which conveniently is very similar to the name of another much more reputable wealth management firm, Westpac, based in Australia. It's either a very smart, or very contemptible search engine optimization technique, depending on how you look at it. If an old person meets someone from Westpac Wealth Partners, and is interested in purchasing their product, they may enter "Westpac" into Google and see a very nice and well-establish financial institution based in Australia. Unaware that that company has nothing to do with WestPac Wealth Partners, this technologically illiterate old person might call that representative back and sign a contract. I'm sure this doesn't happen often, but it's definitely no coincidence that this company named themselves after another, more reputable version of themselves. Considering their customer base is older (people who buy life insurance), and considering old people don't know how technology works, I'm quite certain the name of this company wasn't an accident. Should tell you a lot about what type of business this is.
If you have an IQ over 60, run away as fast as you can. I came here because I had nothing else to do, I had another job offer lined up at a real company and I was honestly curious if this place would be as bad as I expected. They were worse. Everyone here is a sales zombie, you look in their eyes and there's nothing. Lights are on but nobody's home, so to speak. If you want to live your life as a manipulative sales zombie, send an application, they hire anyone. If you are bored like me, show up for a day, make a hundred bucks, and go get some free lunch. See the salespeople squirm when they realize you're not a schmuck and won't become one of them. Call them salespeople, the worst thing you can call a salesperson, is "salesperson." Listen and laugh at them try to scramble and find a reason why the work they do is somehow actually more than sales and cold calling old people. It will be a fun experience, kind of like going to the zoo.
