Pros
They do spend some money on food for everyone. They give bonuses at the end of the year for line performance, lower waste and other factors that play in your bonus.
Cons
The food they sometimes buy seems like it is for the office people mostly because the guys have to run a machine and can't shut down to eat so the guys on the press feel like they are getting left overs because sometimes the food has been there several hours and is cold by the time they get to eat. They don't have set break times, you have to take a break in between running and there is no relief person for breaks. This is a 12 hour position. Management leaves for lunch every day, goes shopping, to the gym but can't make sure their staff gets a decent break and get off their feet. They say they are a pay for performance company meaning you learn the job well you can move up to a higher position. The only way you can move up is if someone leaves and there are only 5 guys on the line per shift. You can learn to operate the machine quickly with the right training but they aren't going to give you the training because there won't be a position higher for you to go to. So it is not a pay for perfomance. Its not really based on how well you perform. All the guys in management moved up from the floor due to friendship or buddies, there are only a few with any kind of degree. I would not recommend to a friend just due to lack of breaks and they always want you on the floor. One time I went to take a few minute break and one of the management supervisors was jokingly saying you was taking a long break. I did not take that comment well. I was a hard worker and maybe only sat down 10 times for a real break in a year.
