Pros
They will take anyone as long as they have a heartbeat.
Cons
The phrase “Hurry up and Wait” has never been more true than in the case of Western Express. If your tuck breaks down ( which it will, quite often) you will be waiting for hours for roadside to call you back. That’s even using the new app that is supposed to streamline the process. I had to call breakdown twice recently, I waited for 2.5 hours the first time and 4.5 the second time. Now when I say the wait times are long I mean that’s how long I waited for roadside to call me back, after using there worthless app, just for a person to ask me a few questions before they actually start looking for a roadside company. If your routed to one of their terminals for repairs be prepared to wait for at least 3 days before they even bring your truck into the shop, never mind the time it takes to actually repair your truck. While your at the terminal you are only given a disgusting hotel room every other day. The other days you are required to stay in your truck. The trucks are, for the most part, dilapidated and held together by duct tape and gorilla glue. I have talked with a fair number of other drivers and I would say 90% of them have similar or worse experiences with this company. I could almost write a book with the amount of grievances I have with this company and they span thru most attributes of the company from training to payroll to driver evaluation and routing. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
