Pros

They will take you with little experience, they don't even require a road test. They will feed, house and pay you during orientation.

Cons

Driver trainers are angry broken people and will be personally offended with mistakes you make and many you don't make, like you wanted to make them or you did it just to anger them. Then they will berate you nonstop until it causes you to make more mistakes. Then threaten to fail you if you don't have a sunny disposition while they are doing this. .The company says they want you to report safety issues but use your best judgement there. I don't know how anyone makes any money, no one knows where empty trailers are and they give you loads that are already late so you spent 24 hours on a parking lot waiting for a new dock appointment. Shippers have lost respect for the company, I saw a memo on one of their whiteboards that said "give your old loads to Western". They take advantage of nice agreeable drivers and give them the crap runs because they know they won't complain. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION DO THAT.

Pros

Greetings.., My tenured at Western Express began Jan 2024. Throughout my stationary period with the company, I’ve had the honor and privilege to work with agent Ken Brooks. Ken and myself have not always witnessed or observed the same portrait at times. However, like every relationship, there will be disagreements. Nonetheless, Ken has served as the head-coach and myself the point-guard. Similar to many coaches and athlete duo. Ken is knowledgeable, reliable and sharp thinking, as his intuitive nature pours success. He not only wants you to thrive and be successful, he is position-less in one’s ability to be successful. This is accomplished by providing routes, formative feedback and suggestions to maximize your time and money. Despite his motion for team and honors. He is easy to communicate and has often replied to questions while on his break. Not everyone has that property trait, particular quality, skill, or attribute. Through my lens, Ken has put his best foot forward and continues aid, guidance and do what is best for the individual (myself).

Cons

If I needed to add a con, it would be better transparency. Nonetheless, Ken has shown, he is willing and able to build on this con. He has strengthen his communicational traits.
