Pros

New hire benefits- health insurance starts at the beginning of the month following your first day. Start with 15 (I think) days of PTO plus the company has floating holidays as well

Cons

Wages: pay is below market average, merit increases don't cover inflation, in prior years a manager was required to average a 3% merit increase across the whole team. Work environment: Vast majority of roles are required to work in office. Hybrid work arrangements are not offered, working from a remote location is treated as a scheduling item and is available at management's discretion. Work load: The company is currently in the process of a major overhaul, creating large amounts of work with short turn around times High turnover, including roles that handle long projects

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are saddened to hear that your experience working at Western National has not measured up to your expectations. In order to stay competitive with market trends, we assess our compensation package at multiple points throughout the year. Similarly, merit increases are managed annually with a formal review process, are dependent on the experience and performance of each team member, and are evaluated on an individual basis. Additionally, we do offer flexible and hybrid remote work options to a majority of our employees at all office locations (as approved by a manager). However, the privilege to work remotely is and will remain dependent on the needs of our customers balanced with the needs of our employees and internal teams. As you mentioned, we are currently in the middle of a major technology overhaul, which has certainly impacted the workload of nearly every department in the organization. While we understand that there is work to be done, we certainly don’t want our employees to feel overwhelmed by their workload. We encourage employees who are feeling overwhelmed to have an honest conversation with their manager to discuss priorities and find ways to manage workloads. We are always looking for feedback on areas in which we can improve. If you are willing to share more, please contact us at HRmail@wnins.com.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We appreciate hearing your positive comments about our friendly work environment, great benefits, and continuous career development, as these are areas of increased focus to showcase our commitment to employee growth and well-being. We also appreciate your comments about meeting frequency, camera expectations, and our shift away from fully remote work. While we continue to offer flexible, hybrid, and remote work options to a majority of our employees at all office locations (as approved by a manager), we also recognize that face-to-face communication and connectiveness are important parts of our company values. These interactions help strengthen collaboration, support our teams, and ensure we’re providing the best experience for our customers. The privilege to work remotely is and will remain dependent on the needs of our customers balanced with the needs of our employees and internal teams. We would like the opportunity to hear more about your experience. If you are willing to share, please contact us directly at HRmail@wnins.com.

Pros

There are really great teams to work on and enjoyable coworkers. Independent decision making. Pay is slightly below average, but benefits are great. Profit share bonus. Good CEO. Departments very much encourage hiring within and lateral transitions to different areas of the company.

Cons

Your team members may be great, but a difficult manager dampens the day to day experience. Pay could be higher.
