Pros
- People first environment: They actually want you to use your unlimited PTO, benefits are great, regularly check-in on how they can change their pay and benefits to keep employees happy. Lots of opportunities to stay connected to people at the company (events, virtual activities, option to come into office.) - Remote: And it's actually remote. They hire near their hubs, but very comfortable remote environment. - Relevant interviews questions: While interviewing, the questions were actually focused on the job that I would be doing, and not boiler plate questions. They aren't pushing to have a specific structure to your answers like the big FAANG companies. It was really positive. - They want you to actually use the product: give employees $$$ to use on the app so they can stay close to the user experience. -Transparency: Weekly meetings with the founder on how the business is doing that all FTE's attend. Founders actually come in to the office so you can talk to them.
Cons
I personally don't think it's a con, but things change quickly and move fast, just like any start-up. I wouldn't recommend Whatnot for people who want to work in an environment with a lot of structure, and do the same job every day. It gets busy, but the company culture, great people, and benefits make it worth it on the busy days.
