Pros
Good pay, more types of flying activities than in the airlines including many different airport locations.
Cons
Very toxic culture and a dangerous job. Instructors & Check Airmen were giving me a hard time and made it harder and kept making me nervous for how they trash talked about me and kept cursing and swearing out loud. And every mistake I made they kept taking it as me setting my own standards. All in all the check airmen and company told me straight up that I am an Idiot and a flustered individual and their check airmen told me out loud "I feel like a completely dumb founded person for flying with you. I don't know how you got this far. But I have flown with people who struggle with the English language and still did fine with me. To me you're not considered a bright individual". They even kept discriminating against me about my personal interests I have at home. Also it's a dangerous job as it's fast paced and you will get injured on the ground. Also during the summer you will wind up in the hospital from heat strokes as according to check airmen and a pilot supervisor: "Heat strokes are normal, you just pass out and wake up in the hospital and come back to work". At the end during IOE, my father passed away from the COVID pandemic and I needed time off. The company went against me for that and that was pretty much their final straw with me. So the DO called me up and said today has to be my last day. So they slammed the doors on me That's the culture I dealt with.
