Pros

Depending on the unit, many units feel like a team and someone is almost always available to lend a helping hand or give a word of advice if you need it.

Cons

Gossiping is very common here. Being understaffed is common on a lot of units, I've seen so many nurses overwhelmed.

Great benefits & Vacation Time

Cons

Leadership & Human Resources does not support staff. Many have been with the establishment for 15+ years, it is horrible they do not support those that have been loyal to them. Especially when new people come on with a clear agenda to "clean house" to bring in their former employees. There was also no help when a new manager came in and loaded a supervisor with work, while they did not assist any staff.
