Pros
Hourly at the administrative position. Occasional lunch and learns or free lunch when there are deadlines. Team lunches or happy hours once a month to every other month. Flexible. Me and the other admin worked hard to better the team and come up with solutions that would benefit our team. Made a great family friend that I still keep in touch with. My coworker offered her home to my family after I had been going through personal issues. The team from DFW would come down often to work and mesh with the rest of the team. Even though it might be intimidating to approach your partner with issues in or outside the office, I felt comfortable bringing up issues I had. Treated great by all those above me, and never made me feel I was “just an admin”. I was approached by my performance and was given solutions how I can get better and was able to give my input as well, and they listened. Made work friends from other departments. Free workout class 2 times a week. Free access to the gym as long as you have your badge. I only left because I moved away from a toxic home life. Or else I would still be there.
Cons
Insurance was expensive. Hourly employees didn’t have the unlimited PTO like salary employees. No WFH flexibility.
