Pros

Great benefits, nice office. The office tries to take the upper road and be very ethical which is important nowadays.

Cons

I was hired to be a paralegal not a highbred cat -dog. I don’t know if it’s their way of saving money or whatever but I was very poorly trained and at the time that I interviewed, with simply asked if I minded helping out with secretarial work. I thought that meant when there was a rush or an overload as a member of the team would I help and of course I said yes. No it really is you are mostly a secretary-ie 80%. I think I would be more successful if I had been better trained and the desk I was sitting out with a different desk

Pros

Good coworkers and supervisors. Billable work environments tend to be the same in terms of monotony, so it helps to have a good team.

Cons

Billable hours aren't the most fun thing in the world. Huge caseload.

Pros

Great benefits, pay is okay. Partners are reasonable and nice.

Cons

Firm is misogynistic. They either drove someone to quit/fired really good talent and one of the only attorneys that was sweet to the staff after they took the side of male colleague in their interpersonal issue. Watched this person get bullied and firm did nothing. A lot of exclusive groups and mean girl behavior in chicago office it is really a shame
