In my previous role, I noticed that I was often assigned to one section of the store, which limited my ability to gain experience across different areas. For example, it wasn’t until I brought up that I hadn’t worked the register after three months that I was finally given the opportunity to do so, even though I had previous experience as a cashier. I felt that having more exposure earlier on would have been more productive, as I was eager to contribute in a variety of ways and leverage my skills.
