Communication is a big issue. Whenever one of the bigwigs come on site people run around like their hair is on fire. Upper Management can put on a “good old boys club” pretense, you get berated or bullied by them and feel like a subordinate rather than a team member as if they suspect you’ll screw up on something. It’s fair to say the company is aware and is doing something about this.
Also, along with a hefty workload, the company only promotes you by giving you more work rather than compensation. You will be told you’ll be doing one thing and later find out you’ll be doing a lot more and still getting paid the same. They go by the “we’ll look into paying you more only if you can show you can handle the workload” philosophy. The more they have new plans for you, the more you get the feeling Winn cares more about its bottom line than the employees that make it all happen.
