The days are very long and sometimes work happens after hours at home. There are too many calls and meetings that make it difficult to get other day to day items taken care of. Upper management is rarely at your property to see how busy things are or to jump in and lend a hand if needed. There is also a shortage of staff so properties are sharing people to fill holes, which can be difficult to manage at times. There are a lot of last minute requests that also make you drop what you're doing, which can be very frustrating at times. It doesn't seem like upper management knows how busy managers are with these types of situations.
