Pros
I had the privilege of working with some incredibly smart, mission-driven, and collaborative colleagues. The people used to be one of the best parts of the organization.
Cons
Since the new executive team came on board, the culture has changed drastically—for the worse. Leadership fosters an environment that feels political, divisive, and toxic. Decisions including layoffs lack transparency and seemed based more on personal preferences than on objective performance criteria. Several individuals have been promoted into roles they are unqualified for, raising questions about fairness and merit. There’s a noticeable lack of professionalism at the top. Leadership, including the CEO, often engages in inappropriate conversations and gossip, which undermines trust and morale. Many of the organization's most talented and respected staff have since left, which has only deepened the sense of instability.
