Pros

Strong entry point for freshers: Wipro does a good job onboarding large volumes of talent and giving initial exposure to real-world projects. Process maturity and stability: Structured environments, defined workflows, and predictable delivery cycles make it a stable place to start. Exposure to enterprise clients: Opportunity to work with large-scale systems and global clients early in your career.

Cons

Growth is slow and often arbitrary: Promotions and hikes are inconsistent and rarely reflect actual impact or capability. Too much focus on billing, not building: The system prioritizes resource allocation over innovation, which kills ownership and engineering mindset. Learning stagnation after initial years: After 2–3 years, the work becomes repetitive unless you actively fight to move projects. Mediocre talent retention leads to weak teams: High performers leave early, resulting in uneven team quality and reduced learning opportunities. Innovation is more buzzword than reality: Despite talking about AI/GenAI, most work remains operational or support-heavy.

Pros

Managers and management are very supportive and resolve escalations and issues very quick. Lots of learning opportunities. Lots of projects and work more stable.

Cons

Less respect, not very professional, no proper planning, everything is now now now. Very fast pace, need to work extra hrs to get on speed. May have to compromise personal, family time at times. WFH is not an option. Need to commute to client location Monday-Friday. Pay is not great.

Pros

Good coworkers and project opportunities. It is up to you to pursue these opportunities.

Cons

HR and immigration folks need to be transparent. Immigration team submitted my visa petition for premium processing, but my visa didn't get approved on time. When I asked immigration for an explanation, they just cited "delays" and were vague in their responses. I asked for documentation on when the premium processing was sent and they did not respond nor provide anything. My 240-day extension for my visa ended, so I was not working for some time. I was a few days away from getting approved. HR then terminates me out of nowhere, saying that I am not authorized to work. Even my manager did not know that I was being terminated. I spoke with immigration who said that I had already been taken off payroll and I would be reinstated once the visa was approved. Even the immigration team said that the termination should not have happened. HR just pulled the trigger and it has impacted me greatly.
