Pros

1. Ample number of opportunities to upgrade your skills. 2. Good client exposure 3. Good onsite exposure 4. Your role is not confined, you can widen your horizons by taking up work of your interest. 5. Good learning curve.

Cons

1. Poor salary hikes. If you have been working for long, do not expect much. 2. Partiality on the basis of band. Management would sometimes introduce you to a new person by mentioning your band before your name. 3. Non deserving people are preferred for onsite just because of their higher band. Exceptions could be made if you are on notice period. 4. Leadership lack PR skills. They are generally more concerned about deliveries at the cost of resources sometimes. 5. Growth is pretty slow. You need to have good relation with supervisor. 6. Management is sometimes insensitive towards employees and their problems.

Pros

Managers and management are very supportive and resolve escalations and issues very quick. Lots of learning opportunities. Lots of projects and work more stable.

Cons

Less respect, not very professional, no proper planning, everything is now now now. Very fast pace, need to work extra hrs to get on speed. May have to compromise personal, family time at times. WFH is not an option. Need to commute to client location Monday-Friday. Pay is not great.

Pros

Good coworkers and project opportunities. It is up to you to pursue these opportunities.

Cons

HR and immigration folks need to be transparent. Immigration team submitted my visa petition for premium processing, but my visa didn't get approved on time. When I asked immigration for an explanation, they just cited "delays" and were vague in their responses. I asked for documentation on when the premium processing was sent and they did not respond nor provide anything. My 240-day extension for my visa ended, so I was not working for some time. I was a few days away from getting approved. HR then terminates me out of nowhere, saying that I am not authorized to work. Even my manager did not know that I was being terminated. I spoke with immigration who said that I had already been taken off payroll and I would be reinstated once the visa was approved. Even the immigration team said that the termination should not have happened. HR just pulled the trigger and it has impacted me greatly.
