Literally all the managers at a certain level get together and compare and argue about which employee sacrifices their life the most for their job. And the best ones are secure and the worst go on HR supervised performance improvement projects. So unless you visibly or vocally prove your self worth to every manager you go on a pip. Doesn't help that the management is clueless to what is happening in the company, or what is actually improving profitability. So unless you are good at winning popularity contests stay away.
