Competitive Pay & Decent Benefits. Extremely Unorganized - Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician Wolfspeed Employee Review

Pros

Wolfspeed offers competitive pay and decent benefits. Insurance is Cigna, which isn't the greatest but they do give 6 weeks of full pay for parental leave and tuition reimbursement when obtaining a degree from NC State in a related field. They also reward hard workers with an Employee Recognition Program, where points are awarded to be spent on an online retail type website.

Cons

Management and the production areas are extremely unorganized at the Silicon drive campus in Durham NC, and their 5S program is a joke. There is a very obvious "Boys Club" culture here and if you are not in it, then management will make your career there very difficult and try to push you out. Most of the "Engineers" have inflated egos and are hard to work with. Production could improve ten fold if the engineers didn't have such an exaggerated sense of self importance. Finally, the Parts department is a nightmare and needs a serious overhaul.
