Pros
Flexible schedule. Ex; I can start at 7am or 10am if i want. Work needs to be completed each day. Can work independently, however mgt can easily monitor how much inventory is ordered vs what each store is selling. Home Depot and Woodgrain have goal of 100% in stock.
Cons
Very physical work. Can take its toll if you dont stretch routinely. Each store is ranked by volume and one set amt of pay per day for compensation. Biggest disappointment in Woodgrain was my raise for doing a great job this past year.......$1.87 cent raise per day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I told my supervisor, I new i was in trouble when corporate took the Area Mgrs ability to give raises. YES you read correctly...a $1.87 per day (NOT/HOUR!) raise!!!!
